This is long! But all the right people won’t mind one bit. It was a packed seven days. 01/09/19 – 07/09/19. Enjoy!

Our September using the 1 Second Everyday app. What a month!

01/07/19 – 07/07/19

Iquitos, the gateway to the Amazon jungle, was overwhelming to say the least. The sheer amount of street touts trying to sell you tours was surprising and the ferocity of their sales pitches was staggering. Tom and I actually retreated back to the safety of our hostel on the first day and went out again the next day, fully fed and more mentally prepared to haggle. We met Percy Ycomena who runs Green Wild Amazon Expeditions and he helped us achieve our dream of camping alone in the Amazon Jungle. Enjoy the pictures below of our 7 day tour.

Pucallpa was a place between places but nonetheless enjoyable and insightful. We got back in to the grove of being on the move. We got all our clothes professionally washed (a luxury after Puerto Inca), enjoyed a fancy night out with burgers (double luxury!) and slept in a normal bed after the hammock for a month (don’t take your beds for granted folks). Our friend Juan Lucio was in town as well and he took us to see pink river dolphins. So all in all it made for a great weekend.
