Six days in Lamas

With 4 weeks left in Peru, we decided to split our time between Lamas and Chazuta, two towns local to Tarapoto (and therefore our upcoming 29 hour bus back to Lima). We wanted to spend the last month CHILLING. Lamas was great for this. We had many walks, visited the local Chapawanki waterfall (we hated this because there was a monkey chained up there), checked out Museo Chanka for native history, and were surprised to find an Italian castle was one of the main attractions. We bought local pottery, had pizza two nights in a row and in general tried to take a load off after the intense three months we have had!

Great to see you enjoying this bit of “luxury” on the last leg of your Amazon adventure! Particularly enjoyed the contrasts – infinity pool, random sunlounger on the edge of a drop, beautiful (large) millipede, and of course that waterfall; much deserved break! Love it!

Photo’s would seem to suggest a loved-up couple relaxing in relative luxury (after months of hardship) – very, very much richly deserved!

Playing some Bass guitar whilst your vid plays.
Making me play some heavy reggae grooves.

    Great pics you two.

    PS
The bats are hibernating here in Blighty. Best buy a hat for your return (guessing you are returning…or maybe once more around the globe for the hell of it eh).

We are moving to Melbourne in a few weeks Pat so it’s going to be a while before coming back! (…Will remember hat). Should be playing sick reggaeton beats that never seem to stop there 🙂
